Any time is a good time to check over your planter. Below are some key areas to ensure your planter is ready for next season or call our service team to schedule an inspection!
Case IH, unlike its competitors, defines accuracy as uniform spacing, uniform depth, uniform soil-to-seed contact, uniform emergence and unequaled product quality that translates into planting more acres per day and higher net effective crop stands.
We have a few items to check on your planter that can save you time later in the field:
1. Row unit wear items. Parallel Arms, Disk openers (fert&seed), seed shoe & forming point, gauge wheel shimming and closing system.
2. Meter drive system, hydraulic drive, chains and shaft bearings and alignment. Electric drive maintenance.
3. Meter calibration.
4. Leveling the planter. Toolbar height and row unit leveling.
5. Downforce maintenance - correct settings for conditions in the field.
